The late traditionalist author and metaphysician Frithjof Schuon described the epistemological outlook of the average Muslim, explaining their tendency to seemingly uniform incredulity when others fail to acknowledge that Islam has (at least some) hidden gems of absolute truth:
“…that anyone should be able to oppose Islam with a good conscience quite exceeds the Muslim’s imagination precisely because Islam coincides in his mind with the irresistible logic of things.”
