The ahadith (stories pertaining to Islam and the Prophet Muhammad) by their very nature invite criticism as well as much needed comic-relief for the Religion of Peace which takes itself ever so seriously. By definition, to be a liberal Muslim is to accept the inherently unacceptable. As someone who draws Muhammad, I have received varying reactions to my work ranging from wary acceptance to outright hatred by the sorts of people who, if they had any power, would have me dealt with in a gruesome way.
Until the act of rendering Muhammad becomes as benign as Family Guy or South Park portraying Jesus, you can count on myself and others to continue pushing the human race toward that happy state.
